Dandruff

A wonderful time-honored remedy for dandruff—that even my dad will attest to, as he’d treat our horses with this method on our ranch growing up—is apple cider vinegar. Like when your skin is sunburned, it is in need of neutralization and pH balance. Similarly, in a different way, dandruff is caused by varying factors: yeast, fungus, dry skin, seborrheic dermatitis, diet, mental stress, psoriasis, eczema, not enough hair brushing; etc.

So an incredibly effective treatment to restore balance in your scalp, and relieve the dry flaky skin is apple cider vinegar.

INGREDIENTS | natural

½ c raw apple cider vinegar

½ cup water

PROCESS |

Mix water and apv together. Wash your hair with your normal shampoo. Once it is cleansed, pour vinegar-water mixture carefully onto hair and scrub your scalp. Take care not to let any get into your eyes. If you have psoriasis or any unhealed scratch or scab, it will burn. (If it burns, just rinse the affected area with water). Leave the mixture on your scalp for 10-15 minutes and then rinse well. The vinegar smell will dissolve as hair dries. If you have a bad case of dandruff, repeat this method daily for a week. The vinegar will successfully kill any bacteria on the scalp and pH balance your skin so that it can come back to its normal state.

Toss out that chemically-filled T-GEL and let your brain have a break from all that toxicity!
