I’m addicted to water—and the occasional juice or kombucha. But I’m lucky to crave water and yearn for nothing else. There was a time in high school that I would have never dreamed of making such a bold statement as, “I’m addicted to water.” Sugary sodas lined my fridge at home and nobody batted an eye at it. Moving to LA with modeling and acting auditions lining my schedule and a family inclination for gaining weight VERY easily, I quickly put my soda love aside and moved my water love up to first class.
Something that was really helpful in this transition was infusing my water! Because it takes so long for taste buds to properly acclimate and crave new healthy flavors, it took some elevated trickery to get them on board. Within a few months, one day I realized that the taste of ultra sugary drinks sounded absurd. And when trying a soda for good measure, my theory was realized, as it was so dreadfully sugary and unappealing.
So for anyone that forgot you could have that yummy luxurious spa water full of extra antioxidants, electrolytes, minerals and vitamins at any time—even at home—I’m here to remind you!
PROCESS | fill your jar up with purified mineral-rich water. Add any selection of herbs and fruits to it. Keep in the fridge for a couple of hours to let the infusing magic happen. Drink and refill throughout the day.
