I like to romanticize that this is the oldest form of gifting in the world—the gift of a plant. And if you’re anything like me, you’re getting your spring garden together. Because we only have so many raised beds at our house, and I had such success with all my seedlings, I now have an overabundance of kale, chard and cabbage sprouts. What a better housewarming, dinner party or visiting gift than that of one that keeps on giving. Your friends, especially those that don’t even own herb plants, will be floored with happiness. Spring is magic. Give the earliness of it to those around you.
