I did a bit of thrift shopping in my hometown over the holiday which I NEVER do in LA as I don’t have the patience to sift through things here. However, it’s always a goldmine when you head to a town that doesn’t share the same aesthetic.
As I’ve always been in love with vintage copper cake molds, I was so happy to find one that I really cherished. And it makes for the PERFECT gelatin jello mold. I started incorporating gelatin into my cooking a bit ago at the recommendation of my acupuncturist to nourish a few gut issues. Then I began to notice the insane affects it had on my skin, hair and nails. My skin plumped up with a glow, my hair started growing like bananas, and my nails became much stronger. 16 oz cold pressed juice | I chose to use Moon Juice’s Cilantro Celery Punch
1 Tbls of Vital Proteins Gelatin
4 Tbls Warm Water
PROCESS | bring 4 tablespoons of water to an (almost) boil. Pour into a small dish and dissolve the 1 tablespoon of gelatin slowly, stirring well, until all clumps have been broken down and you have a clear texture. Pour that into mold or bowl of choice. Add juice and mix well. This should all take about 3 minutes. Set in refrigerator for 2-3 hours. Pull out and enjoy!
