HE SHOU WU GANACHE + BANANA & POPPY SEED ICE CREAM | raw

He Shou Wu has grown to be one of my favorite herbs next to Ashwagandha.  I believe that we all have a very specific way each and every one of us connect with a given herb at any given time.  As of recent, this one has really been potent for me.  After I was hit with a major sweet-tooth on Saturday, this was the perfect treat to whip up in under 5 minutes!

Note that any other herb(s) with a similar taste profile can be swapped out for this one in this recipe.

HE SHOU WU GANACHE + BANANA & POPPY SEED ICE CREAM

GANACHE

1 tbls Sun Potion Cacao

½ tsp Sun Potion He Shou Wu

1 tbls melted coconut oil

½ tbls sweetener of choice | raw honey | maple syrup | molasses | jerusalem artichoke syrup

PROCESS | place all ingredients in a bowl and mix together until you reach a silky chocolate syrup texture.

ICE CREAM

1 bunch of ripe bananas

1 cup sprouted almond milk

2 Tbls sweetener of choice 

1 Tbls pure vanilla extract

Pinch of Sea Salt

PROCESS | cut ripe bananas into small slices and place into freezer for an hour. Once frozen, place all ingredients in to food processor. Pulse slowly and scrape sides until you’ve achieved a soft-serve ice cream texture. Garnish each bowl with medicinal ganach, poppy seeds, and a pinch of sea salt.
