Hairprint

I have always been the BIGGEST fan of gray hair.  I long for the day that I go fully gray in the likes of my sixties, and I get to wear thick turtle-shell glasses - emulating Joan Didion.  However, if today I started to go quite gray, I do believe I’d tout a different horn.

That is why I am so blown away by the product I’d like to introduce you to today, Hairprint.  COMPLETELY natural, with eight food-grade ingredients that you can pronounce, Hairprint is the opposite of hair dyeing. You can view it as the safest way to restore your natural color.

“Permanent hair dyes were invented in 1907 and have barely changed since then. They were created at a time when there was less awareness of the harmful effects of the toxins, endocrine disruptors, coal tar dyes, carcinogens, and other chemicals that cause continual damage to the hair and scalp.

Hairprint functions in a way that is the opposite of how hair dyes work. Rather than stripping hair of its color and inserting coal tar dyes, which all permanent hair-coloring products do, Dr. Warner’s process mimics how hair gets its true color in the first place. The color responsible for all brown and black hair is eumelanin, which is a variation of the melanin pigment that is responsible for the color of your skin and eyes. The reason Hairprint looks so natural on your hair is because it is natural.”

On a scientific level, chemist Dr. John Warner invented a safe, healing and non-toxic process that mimics what hair follicles do:  infuse hair with its natural pigment. Melanocyte cells produce melanin, the pigment found in skin, eyes, and hair. This process is called melanogenesis. It is how the sun colors your skin, how your hair is colored in the follicle, and how your eyes stay blue, brown or green. When hair goes gray, the melanin pigment is no longer being produced sufficiently or at all. When you replenish the hair’s natural pigments, it reverses gray hair.

So this isn’t a means to color your hair a new color.  This revolutionary dyeing system actually restores your gray hair to its natural pigmentation.

As someone that doesn’t dye my hair and embraces a la natural, this would be the PERFECT avenue to turn if I had gray at this age, and wanted a natural and safe way to restore it to its original color.  Not only is it food-grade, but it transforms the health of the hair, making it stronger, giving it more body and luster as well.

To all the gray souls that have been searching for a natural, safe, and healthy place to turn, your hair prayers have been answered.  I implore you to watch the videos on their site.  Your mind will be blown.  And can we talk about the insanely clean, beautiful packaging and artwork?
