Seeing is believing. Much of the manifestation literature that circulates out there stresses this equation: know what you want, visualize it, stay positive/ get rid of negative thoughts, and you will attract it. And then nothing happens. Or very little. Or small things happen once in a while but not all the time. This is because manifestation relies 95% on our belief system. That’s why you read on here over and over again, “if you have low self-worth, then your belief system for what you deserve is very minimal, thus you are blocked from attracting what you desire” or “our reality is 100% what we believe”.
While I impart very specific visualization techniques to clients (when they apply and more in the vain of self-energywork rather than visualizing the thing they are calling in), a much more weighted approach to manifestation is what I call “Seeing is Believing”.
Say you are calling in the partner you desire, but you’ve never had a serious relationship. The beliefs you hold surrounding the actuality that you could really have this partner or this relationship are very low. I can guarantee it, or vibrationally it would naturally attract. So sitting with your eyes closed visualizing this person, and relationship, until you’re blue in the face isn’t going to do much. You must go out into the world and find your version of “Seeing is Believe”. That means going out into the world and finding a person similar to you that has found their perfect mate. (Because people with low self-worth are quite smart and savvy and can find a way to talk themselves down, “oh well, she’s beautiful so no wonder. Or she’s wealthy, so duh,” it’s important that you find someone that has never really had a serious relationship with a similar feel to you, look, socio economic; etc.) You’ll know you’ve found your perfect “Seeing is Believing” because you’ll have the “ah-ha” moment of, “oh, I could totally have this too.”
Now your belief system has shifted for good. You’ve seen it happen, so it can 100% happen for you. Sometimes people need two versions, or three of “seeing is believing” until they actually believe it. Once you have that click of “ah ha, I could have my own version of this too”, it is 100% more powerful and vibrational than sitting in the dark visualizing.
A personal example. One of the first bigger and miraculous things I ever manifested was a $325/ mth apartment in the Echo Park Hills that had everything on my list (in the hills, lots of nature, a backyard, garden, hardwood floors or Spanish tile, a lot of light, under $500/mth with utilities included). Now I could have visualized that for ages and I guarantee you I wouldn’t have found it, because having paid a lot of money for every spot I had ever lived in, in Los Angeles, I didn’t believe that such a deal existed. A month before looking for this miraculous apartment, a friend of mine came to our job one day and said, “ I did it. I found a guesthouse in Laurel Canyon for $500/mtn. It’s a cabin and perfect.” Then I met a guy with a similar deal. I finally had the “ah ha” click moment. And the rest was history.
I have countless of these stories ranging from partners, to mentors, finances, to clothes, to opportunities. And the same rings true for my clients. So the next time you find yourself hung up on visualization and wondering why the subject you are manifesting hasn’t shown up, shelf visualizing and find your “Seeing is Believing” (or two or three) of that particular subject.
There could be a handful of reasons why what you are calling in isn’t materializing - ranging from mental blocks, limiting beliefs, physical blocks and so on - that you personally aren’t even aware of, or you’re lacking the other personal action steps in order to bring your subjects in. That’s my job and I certainly look forward to connecting over a session so that we can remedy them. No matter what you do, don’t put visualizing the reality of your subject before finding you “Seeing is Believing”.
